I revisited Kalinga Park, Clayfield, on the way home from trying to find a grass owl. As I was about to leave at 7:30am the happy couple suddenly appeared from hiding and paraded around in the open for 5 minutes or so, even mating briefly. Hopefully there will be little bush-hens eventually.

Lumped with Bush-hen, Amaurornis olivaceus, in some taxonomies.
